How to Boardslide, Step by Step

  1. Approach the rail almost parallel and at a steady speed.
  2. Ollie and turn the board 90 degrees so it lands across the rail.
  3. Land with the middle of the deck on the rail and your weight centred.
  4. Keep your shoulders aligned with the rail and slide.
  5. Turn the board back straight and roll away.

Boardslide Tips

  • Low flat bars are the best place to learn. Wax them.
  • Do not lean back. It shoots the board out from under you.
  • Backside boardslides let you see the rail and are usually learned first.
