How to Frontside Flip, Step by Step

  1. Set your feet in kickflip position with the back foot slightly toward the heel side.
  2. Wind up your shoulders, then start the frontside turn as you pop.
  3. Flick a kickflip while your shoulders keep turning.
  4. Let the board finish both the flip and the 180 under you.
  5. Catch it and land rolling fakie.

Frontside Flip Tips

  • Start the turn before the flick. If you flick first, you will under-rotate.
  • Keep the flick smaller than a normal kickflip. The turn adds momentum.
  • Land with weight over the old nose, now your back foot.
