How to Tailslide, Step by Step

  1. Approach the ledge at a slight angle.
  2. Ollie and swing the tail onto the edge.
  3. Keep your weight over the back foot to hold the slide.
  4. Keep your shoulders square to the ledge.
  5. Turn the nose back down and roll away.

Tailslide Tips

  • Frontside tailslides are usually learned first because you can see the ledge.
  • Too much weight on the front foot drops you off the ledge.
  • Get your 180s down. You will need the rotation.
